Job Description
Australian Defence Apparel Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Manager to join our Sales Protective Apparel department in Sydney. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing contracts and ensuring the smooth operation of our sales activities.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the contract management process, including negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts related to protective apparel sales.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deadlines.
Provide guidance to the sales team on contract terms and conditions, as well as potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with legal and finance departments to address any contractual issues or discrepancies.
Conduct regular reviews of existing contracts to identify areas for improvement or renegotiation. Main Tasks:
Manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from initial proposal through to contract closeout.
Work closely with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and tailor contracts accordingly.
Analyse market trends and industry standards to inform contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
Prepare reports on contract status, performance, and potential risks for senior management review.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Licenses/Permits:
Current Driver’s License. - Paid travel to our Goulburn site.
Willing to obtain a National Criminal History Check, and
Willing to undergo a Police Force Baseline Vetting (minimum Baseline) check.
Proven experience in contract management within the sales or protective apparel industry
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and clients
Strong understanding of legal terms and conditions related to contracts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure contract compliance and successful outcomes
Highly organised with strong attention to detail for managing multiple contracts simultaneously
Analytical mindset for evaluating contract performance and identifying areas for improvement
Experience in developing and implementing contract management processes and procedures
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM systems, or contract management platforms
A relevant degree in business administration, law, or a related field is preferred
