Job Description
The Role:
The Store Person at Australian Defence Apparel Pty Ltd plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. ADA is looking for 4 Casual Employees for up to 16 weeks located in Thomastown VIC commencing early February 2026. These positions are required from Monday to Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods accurately to ensure inventory integrity.
Picking and packing orders with attention to detail to meet customer specifications.
Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Conducting regular stock counts and assisting in inventory management to prevent discrepancies.
Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (if certified).
Collaborating with team members to optimise workflow processes and improve efficiency.
Assisting in loading and unloading delivery vehicles as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in inventory management software and systems
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and walkie stackers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling
Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping
RF Scanning experience is advantageous
Required experiences
A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehousing or storekeeping role
Experience with stocktaking procedures and inventory control methods
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a storage environment
Previous experience working within the defence or apparel industry is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Required Checks:
Willingness to undertake a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
